Certificates And Exceptions

The changes made in Bug 327181 (see post Simplification And Complication) leads to a number of improvements being addressed:

Bug 398718 improved the wording of the SSL error pages, Bug 401575 enabled the user to force-accept certificates by defining exceptions, Bug 402420 brought the relevant styling for SeaMonkey and Bug 402369 further improved the wording for exceptions. Then, Bug 399696 introduced temporary (session-only) exceptions and Bug 402726 finally allowed to view certificates on SSL error pages.

However, defining exceptions from SSL error pages does not yet work in SeaMonkey. Before that can be addressed, Bug 403800 needs to fixed first.

There's also some discussion whether SSL error pages for domain mismatches should link to the correct site (Bug 402210) and whether the Add Exception dialog should pre-fetch the certificate and/or pre-populate the URL field (Bug 402207, already has approval [update: checked in]).
