Subject Spell Checking and Compact Folders Fix

Two bugfixes have been ported from Thunderbird to SeaMonkey: Bug 391964 enables spell checking subjects when composing mail and thanks to the fix for Bug 392088, compacting folders does not lead to the thread pane selection being lost anymore.

New Newsgroups View, Revamped Directory Listings

The fix for Bug 40260 adds a list of new newsgroups to the Subscribe to Newsgroups dialog. Bug 294800 introduces a more modern layout for directory listings (for handlers like file: and ftp:).

Features and Progress

The latest round of nightlies includes clickable references in MailNews (Bug 62033, on by default for newsgroup messages, with a hidden preference for ordinary emails), a better spellchecker (Bug 319778, HunSpell, replaces MySpell) and the ability to list and disable plugins in the Add-Ons Manager (Bug 339056, originally a Firefox bug).

Behind the scenes, progress is made towards real page zoom, i.e. zoom including images (Bug 4821, no UI yet) and making Lightning, the Calendar extension, work with SeaMonkey trunk (Bug 313822, laying the ground for the actual reintegration).

One item on KaiRo's Bug Bounty Program, porting Firefox's info bars, seems to be close to finalization (Bug 270443). Also pending is the port of Firefox's page info (Bug 379183).

MailNews folder rows clickable again

A checkin for Bug 340811 brought the fix for Bug 340867. I listed that as one of the most annoying bugs because in my opinion it made using the MailNews part of the suite quite hard. Now you can click anywhere inside a folder row again instead of being forced to click the label.
